The first bitKlavier seminar for piano students was extraordinary. Students from ages 11-17 leaped into new, purely digital repertoire, where they were tasked with exploring the imaginative world of each piece and its unique settings. Below is the video of the full concert’s live-stream from the So Percussion Summer Institute.

The bitKlavier course is a new experimental program that supplements traditional piano study with Dan Trueman’s digital instrument. Students have to go beyond the keys, understanding how each piece’s unique settings change its sound world. It is taught by Adam Sliwinski, Cristina Altamura, and Kristin Cahill, under the umbrella of Legacy Arts International. It is designed for both students and also piano teachers who are curious about incorporating the bitKlavier into their own teaching.
